6. West Virginia

Ranking Last Week: 8

Week 11 Result: Win vs. TCU 47-10

Upcoming Week: Away at Oklahoma State

West Virginia moves up a spot over Oklahoma for one simple reason. Opponents score on average 21 points a game against the Mountaineers, good for 25th in the nation, compared to the Sooners who let opponents score an average of 30 points a game on them and have given up nearly 36 points a game in the last six weeks.

West Virginia has been doing all of the right things after a crushing loss to Iowa State outscoring their next three opponents 147-65 and earning a big win over ranked Texas in the process. I wish a certain team in Columbus would do the same.

5. Georgia

Ranking Last Week: 5

Week 11 Result: Win vs. Auburn 27-10

Upcoming Week: Home vs. UMass

Georgia continues to roll to their deaths as the face an already secured match up versus the seemingly unbeatable Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC championship game. A struggling offense is not a good recipe against a team that just shut out both LSU and Mississippi State, both of which are still ranked in the top 25 of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Either way, they get two virtual tune up games against UMass and Georgia Tech before facing Alabama in a rematch of last years national championship game.
