2. Clemson

Rank Last Week: 4

Week 9 Result: Win vs NC State 41-7

Upcoming Week: Away @ Florida State

If there were any doubts about who was going to win the ACC  the Clemson Tigers answered them with a commanding 41-7 over the previously undefeated NC State Wolfpack.

The game was never in doubt for the Tigers as they jumped out to a 31-0 lead in the middle of the third quarter led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence who went 26-39 in the air, throwing for 308 yards and one touchdown.

Heisman candidate Travis Etienne added 3 rushing touchdowns to the Tiger’s cause as Clemson now is in command of the ACC being the only undefeated team left in the conference.

Now they travel to Tallahassee, Florida to take on a 2-3 Florida State Seminoles that has struggled this season in what used to always be a tough ACC battle. Clemson should roll to a win this season.

1. Alabama

Rank Last Week: 1

Week 9 Result: Win @ Tennessee 58-21

Upcoming Week: Bye

It was another week and another blow out win against an inferior opponent.

Alabama fans have to be on cloud nine right about now as the same Tennessee team that upset their rival Auburn, got handled by the Crimson Tide.

Tua Tagovailoa was excellent once again going 19-29, for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Just as impressive was the Alabama defense, which has struggled at times this year but held the Volunteer offense to 258 yards and just 21 points. The win should only increase Alabama’s lead in scoring margin for the season.

dark. Next. Looking ahead for the Buckeyes

Alabama gets to rest up before their biggest contest of the season in week 11 at LSU. The Tigers will be looking for blood because a win at home and they would be in control of the SEC West.
