The Man

Urban Myer is at his essence quite simply a man from Ohio. A common man with an uncommon passion for God, his family, and his pride in the state of Ohio.  

Urban came from humble backgrounds much like many of us in the midwest. He went to college at the University of Cincinnati and then become a graduate assistant at Ohio State. Eventually his coaching career came full circle and he became the head coach of the Ohio State football team.

Since then we have heard plenty about his on the field achievements, but Urban is a man’s man who focuses on his core; God, his family and others. Whether it is donating to charities to visiting kids who are sick such as Boomer, a family friend of over 10 years that suffers from cerebral palsy.

Urban has always shown what life is really about. On or off the field he has a special ability to make the lives around him better with his time and talents. 

There are many that might not know that Urban Meyer every year sends Christmas gifts to the kids at Children’s Hospital in Columbus. In addition, he is always inviting kids to practice and games who are sick and has a room at the Ronald McDonald house.  These are just a few of the many acts of service Urban does for the community.

Urban is an educator at heart and has spoken across the country from colleges to police academy graduations. He not only trains players how to perform at a high level on the field but equips them with the tools to live a successful life.

He considers the coaches and the players on his teams to be a family. He has such a lasting effect on players that he is on the board of Tim Tebow’s charity. 

At the end of the day, Urban Meyer is a man dedicated to bringing out the absolute best in others.
