Ohio State Football: Things to look forward to next season
At the beginning of the 2017 season, Ohio State’s receiving core was atrocious and some fans were calling for Urban Meyer to make some serious changes to it. Despite this, the receivers came along as the season progressed, and Ohio State developed a formidable passing attack.
The only loss that Ohio State is guaranteed to suffer at this position group is the tight end Marcus Baugh. His contributions may not have shown up in the box score this season, but he will be hard to replace. Expect Rashod Berry and Luke Farrell to both contribute next season, and they should be pretty effective in replacing Marcus Baugh.
I predict that Parris Campbell and Johnnie Dixon will both enter the NFL Draft along with Baugh. Neither of them should be very difficult to replace as both Binjimen Victor and Austin Mack will develop into go-to receivers, and KJ Hill and Demario McCall should both fill the role that Parris Campbell brought to the Buckeyes this season.
