Right Outside Linebacker: A.J. Hawk (2003-05)

When you think of OSU football legends you think A.J. Hawk. He’s just a guy whose name was hardly ever not mentioned when the defense was on the field. During his four-year Buckeye career, A.J. played in 51 games, starting 38 of them and recording 394 total tackles (fifth most in school history). On top of that he had 41 tackles for losses, 15 and a half sacks, and 7 interceptions. His performances earned him first team All Big Ten honors in all three years he started, Unanimous First-Team All American honors (2004 and 2005), the Lombardi Award as the best college football linebacker (2005), and Jack Lambert Trophy (2005).
