Left Outside Linebacker: Ryan Shazier (2011-13)

Ryan Shazier was a guy who couldn’t be kept off of the field, even as a true freshman. He was named the starter just ten games into his career. During his first career start (against Penn State) he recorded a whopping 15 tackles. As a sophomore (2012) he led the Big Ten with 17 tackles for a loss and was second in the conference with 115 tackles. He also had 5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles for the season. However, his junior season was even better.

He was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press, USA today, ESPN.com and Sports Illustrated, his 101 solo tackles was second best in the Big Ten and his 143 tackles led the conference.

Shazier finished his illustrious career at Ohio State with 315 tackles, 208 solo tackles, and 14.5 sacks.
