The Ohio State football program is known across the country as having the best group of wide receivers in the country. Brian Hartline has done a fantastic job of recruiting the best possible players at that position for the last seven years. He is the best recruiter in the country.

Every year, the Buckeyes produce a first-round wide receiver. In next year's draft, it could be Carnell Tate. In 2027, it will certainly be Jeremiah Smith. The Ohio State Buckeyes have continued to recruit receivers at a high level and have a couple of really good receivers coming in next couple of years.

One of them is Jamier Brown, a five-star recruit from Dayton. He had an incredible catch on Friday night against St. Ed's, posting one of the best touchdown catches of the year.

Tapping it to himself with one hand to make the catch is pretty incredible. Brown has excellent hands, and that's why he's listed as the best receiver recruit in the 2027 class right now. He wasn't the only Ohio State receiver recruit to have a good moment on Friday night.

Watch Ohio State football recruit Brock Boyd throw up an O-H after scoring a TD

2026 receiver recruit Brock Boyd made sure that everyone knew where he is going to school next year after scoring a touchdown. He threw up an O-H after scoring a long touchdown down in Texas.

Boyd isn't quite as highly-touted as Brown. He is only a three-star recruit in the 2026 class. However, you can see in that clip why Hartline wants him on the Ohio State football team. He made a nice diving catch while tracking that ball in the air for a long time, making sure to never break concentration.

Both of these receivers will be playing together in a couple of years, playing with some other great receivers that the Buckeyes have on the roster already. The one position group that fans can always count on having great players is the wide receiver room.

The Buckeyes have been excited by what both of these players can do. They believe that these receivers will become key contributors sooner rather than later. They will certainly be with a great quarterback, likely with Tavien St. Clair or Brady Edmunds, as the starting quarterback when 2027 rolls around.

Ohio State is still looking to add recruits to both recruiting classes.
