One of the most versatile linemen in the 2026 recruiting class has been given a crystal ball projection for the Ohio State football program.

The Ohio State football program continues to recruit hard now that Spring practice is over. The coaching staff can turn their full attention to both the recruiting trail and the transfer portal. Both are incredibly important this time of year, especially the transfer portal.

For the 2026 recruiting class, the Buckeyes have done some excellent work. They currently hold a top-three recruiting class in the country with plenty of big fish still on the board for them to land. Now, the Ohio State Buckeyes are trying to keep their momentum going.

No coach has had better momentum on the recruiting trail than Tyler Bowen. The new offensive line coach has done a great job getting commitments this Spring. It looks like he is on the verge of landing another one to help further fortify this offensive line class.

PJ Dean is projected to pick the Ohio State Buckeyes

Four-star interior offensive lineman PJ Dean is projected to pick the Ohio State football program. He is listed as the fourth-best offensive lineman in the country and stands at 6'5 and 255 pounds. He definitely needs to put on some weight, but that shouldn't be too hard for him to do.

Dean is from Clemmons, North Carolina, and has all of the big boys after him. South Carolina and Georgia are the two other teams who have the best chance at him, but 247Sports is giving the crystal ball to Ohio State. That would mean yet another offensive lineman for Bowen.

If Dean were to choose Ohio State, that would be the fourth offensive lineman for this class already. Ohio State needs a class with a lot of offensive linemen because they are incredibly thin up front after years of poor recruiting from Justin Frye, although Frye clearly could develop talent.

There are a couple of five-star offensive linemen whom the Buckeyes are chasing, as well. It wouldn't be shocking to see Ohio State take five or six offensive linemen when everything is said and done with this class. There is still a lot of time left to recruit kids for the 2026 class.
