Just because he's no longer in Columbus doesn't mean that Ohio State legend Urban Meyer has forgotten about TTUN. If you're an Ohio State fan, your hatred for Michigan knows no limits, as it's easily one of the best rivalries in all of sports across the world. Urban Meyer needs to reminder, either.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Meyer discussed that Ohio State-Michigan rivalry and he did not hold back in letting everyone know exactly how much he despised the Ann Arbor side. While Meyer made it clear his feelings may have slightly softened, hearing Meyer turn back the clock on how he used to treat 'the game' each season is something the Ohio State faithful will surely smile about:
"When you're the head coach at Ohio State and you're an Ohio guy and you grew up in the 10-year war, the 7-0 is something that - please don't touch that one," Meyer said. "That's something I'll take with me the rest of my life. The hatred I had for that school, and notice I said had. You know, I'm not in that chair anymore. When you're in that chair, you feel it every day, and part of it was my fault.
"I made that whole facility all about that game. We never went more than a week without either talking about the game, practicing for the game. I would have Tim Hinton one of our assistant coaches... that's all he would do. He'd watch film. We'd be working on this game and I'd walk in and spend some time with him watching (Michigan). I'm talking about September or even spring practice."

Urban Meyer didn't hold back on discussing the hatred he used to have for Michigan
This takes Michigan hate to a whole new level. While some people may have disagreed with Meyer's methods on getting ready for the Wolverines, no one can argue with the results. With Meyer steering the ship, Ohio State was a perfect 7-0 against the Wolverines during his time in Columbus. That's the textbook definition of dominance.
Michigan fans hated seeing Meyer on the opposite sideline, as he provided them with a lifetime of terrible memories. The Wolverines have fared much better against Ryan Day, including a recent four-game winning streak. However, that streak ended this past season, with the Buckeyes and Day absolutely taking it to Michigan at The Big House.
Come next season, the Buckeyes will welcome the Wolverines to The Shoe, and another dominant win is expected for Day and his players. Meyer will. of course, be following that game closely, ready to see his former team put on a show with the rest of the world watching along. Ohio State has hopes of winning its second national title in three years, and taking down Michigan will be and important step to make that happen.
And while Day is focused on recruiting and Week 1 for now, soon enough his prep for Michigan will get underway too. He may not take things to the extreme level that Meyer did, but we think it's safe to say that no one else will ever quite reach that again.
