Three bold predictions for Ohio State football v. Northwestern
By Ryan Stano
3. Ohio State will run for 180+ yards
The Buckeyes are still a run-first team. Even though they can pass the ball for a touchdown at any given moment. The receivers they have are too good to be stopped for 60 minutes. Even with that being the case, Ohio State can still break off explosive runs too.
Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson have been really solid all year long. The one bad game they had was against Nebraska. Other than that one game, the backs have been a critical part of the team's success. The offensive line has found its combination.
Ohio State should be able to do pretty much whatever they want on the ground in this game. Judkins and Henderson should be able to run wild on the Wildcats. Expect the Buckeyes to run for at least 180 yards in this game. They should be able to control the time of possession due to that too.
The Buckeyes are going to want to dominate in the running game because they have an opponent who can score quickly coming to town next weekend in Indiana. Controlling the time of possession is going to be important for that game. They want practice with that against Northwestern.
Ohio State has a real shot to accomplish all of these things on Saturday afternoon.
