This is the most important recruit visiting the Ohio State football team this weekend

If the Buckeyes don't get a single commitment from anyone else, they need to get one from him.

The Ohio State football team has one of the most important recruiting weekends of the year this weekend. They have several highly-rated recruits in town for a visit. The Buckeyes are hoping to land a few commitments following this weekend to help their 2026 recruiting class.

As of right now, the Buckeyes still have just 13 commitments for the 2026 class. That's still good enough for third-best in the country. Part of the reason why it's so good is because they have the most five-star recruit commits in the country.

If the Ohio State Buckeyes have their way, they will be getting another one following this weekend. There is one particular recruit that the Buckeyes are hoping to land after this weekend is over. That is five-star tackle recruit Felix Ojo, who is probably the most important recruit in town this weekend.

Five-star recruit Felix Ojo is important for the Ohio State football team to land

Ojo is rated as the second-best tackle in the country and the seventh-best recruit in the entire country. He would become the first five-star recruit that Ohio State has landed since Paris Johnson Jr. If Tyler Bowen could add him, that would add a stud to his first-ever recruiting class with Ohio State.

There's a chance that Ojo is good enough that he could start day-one. He is a physical specimen, standing at 6'6 and 275 pounds. Ohio State loves how he moves in that body, as he does a good job moving forward in the run game and moving laterally in the pass game.

If there is no other recruit to commit from this weekend, Ohio State needs to land Ojo. He is the best recruit visiting this weekend, and one that would help them more than any other one because of the position he plays. They need more quality offensive linemen.
