The Ohio State football team will never have a better chance to beat Michigan

The Ohio State football team has lost to Michigan in each of the last three matchups. In fact, they haven't beaten the Wolverines since the 2019 season. They would have beaten them in 2020 if Michigan wouldn't have canceled the game due to COVID issues.

The Buckeyes were favored in each of the last three games against TTUN. It didn't matter though. The Ohio State Buckeyes still lost those games. Now, Ohio State is loaded on the field once again and is one of the most talented teams in the country despite the loss at Oregon.

On the flip side, TTUN has one of the worst teams they've had in the last five years. They now have three losses after they got taken down 21-7 by Illinois on Saturday. There's a chance they could end up with four losses before they come into Columbus for The Game.

Because of how bad this Michigan team is, this is the year Ryan Day has to break the streak of losses. If he loses to this terrible Wolverines team, he will be searching for another job. Ohio State football fans won't let him come back next year. He doesn't have the equity built up to withstand another loss to TTUN.

Of course, there are a lot of other games to worry about prior to that final game in November. The Buckeyes still have to play Penn State in two weeks and they have to take on a surprisingly good IU team the week before Michigan comes to town. They can't overlook any game left on their schedule.

But with how bad Michigan is this year, it's clear what the Buckeyes have to do if Day wants to keep his job. He needs to win The Game.
