The Ohio State football team has someone on their schedule who is playing very well right now. The Buckeyes need to keep an eye on them.

Coming into the season, the prevailing thought was that the Ohio State football team had just three tough games this year. Oregon, Penn State, and Michigan were the three games that were circled on the schedule as hard games the Buckeyes needed to be aware of.

So far, the Ohio State Buckeyes are 0-1 in those games. They lost to Oregon last weekend in heartbreaking fashion. Now, they have to make sure they win the other two games mentioned above if they want to play for a Big Ten Championship. They need to win out to stay alive for that.

While those two games haven't gotten any easier, one other opponent on the Ohio State football team's schedule has suddenly become much harder to beat. That team is someone who hasn't ever beaten the Buckeyes but is suddenly undefeated.

The Ohio State football team needs to beware of IU

The Buckeyes need to beware of the Indiana Hoosiers. IU is undefeated and is fresh off a butt-kicking of Nebraska 56-7. It was a game that wasn't close at any point. The Buckeyes take on Nebraska next and need to beat them as badly as the Hoosiers did to make sure that they make a statement.

Even though the Hoosiers have never beaten the Buckeyes, this is a different team. Indiana isn't just beating opponents; they're killing them. Of the seven wins they've accumulated so far, the lowest margin of victory for them was 14 points. They haven't played a close game yet.

Ohio State plays IU the weekend before The Game. If the Hoosiers come into that matchup undefeated, it won't be a trap game. It will be a game that could decide who wins the Big Ten. They are suddenly a formidable opponent for the first time since the 2020 season.

The Buckeyes can't worry about that right now. They have to worry about beating the Cornhuskers first and fixing their defense.
