The Ohio State football team lands five-star QB just days after loss to Michigan
By Ryan Stano
Things have been bleak for the Ohio State football program in the last few days. They lost to TTUN for the fourth consecutive year. Because of that, the Buckeyes will not be playing for a Big Ten Championship yet again. It might be another lost season for Ryan Day.
Despite all of the gloom surrounding the program at the moment, the Ohio State Buckeyes can still win a national championship. They're going to make the College Football Playoff. Depending on their matchups, they have a hope of making a run at a national title.
The Buckeyes also got some good news on the recruiting trail on Monday afternoon. They received another commitment from a five-star quarterback. This time, it's from Brady Edmunds, who is a five-star recruit in the 2027 class. That should give Day a boost.

Edmunds is someone who looks like he's loyal to the program despite the result to Michigan. He watched the Buckeyes lose a game they had no business losing and still decided to commit to the program. That tells you something about what Edmunds believes in.
As far as talent goes, Edmunds is solid and he should only get better. He has a lot of arm strength to go along with the touch on the long throws. Edmunds should only get better as he gets older. He would be a great asset to the Buckeyes, assuming he stays committed to them.
I say that because of how long it will be before he signs. 2027 is a long time from now. There's almost zero chance that Day will be the head coach when that time comes around. I wouldn't be shocked if Edmunds decides to go elsewhere if the head coach changes.
