The Ohio State football team has already flipped two recruits in the last few days. Signing Day is just a couple of months away, and the Buckeyes only have the ninth-best recruiting class in the country. As they look to improve that, Penn State is the perfect place to look.
After the Nittany Lions fired James Franklin, recruits have been jumping ship. Members of the 2026 recruiting class have been looking for new homes with a new coach heading into State College at the end of the season. Ohio State is right there to pillage some recruits.
They have been trying to get back into the recruitment for five-star running back Kemon Spell, and he's certainly the priority of the Penn State recruits looking for new homes. He's not the only recruit the Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to flip, though.
Four-star offensive lineman Kevin Brown wants to visit the Ohio State football program
Four-star offensive lineman Kevin Brown is one of the recruits that Ohio State is going after. Brown has reopened his recruitment after the firing of Franklin. In fact, he told Rivals that he wants to visit the Ohio State football program, as well as West Virginia.
Brown would be the sixth offensive lineman in the 2026 class for the Buckeyes, which might be too many recruits. Tyler Bowen knew that he needed to add some depth up front in this cycle, but six linemen is a lot to bring in a single class. Still, they will pursue Brown.
Brown stands at 6'5 and 270 pounds and is listed as the fourth-best tackle in the class. They would certainly make room for him if he wanted to come to Columbus. Other programs will be coming for Brown, but it sounds like Ohio State and West Virginia will have the first crack at him.
Adding Brown should be a goal for Ryan Day and his staff. Getting him scheduled for a visit in the next couple of weeks should be something they look to do so they can wrap him up before anyone else truly has a shot to get him on campus.
