Come on, this is just awesome. Earlier on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft, plenty of Ohio State Buckeyes fans were fired up when Jack Sawyer was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a great fit for Sawyer, who will now get to learn from superstar pass-rusher TJ Watt.

Well, things were just made better for Sawyer and Buckeyes fans as a whole. That's because with the No. 185 overall pick in the sixth round, the Steelers drafted Ohio State quarterback and fellow national champion Will Howard.

What? Yup, that's exactly what happened, as Howard instantly joins a Pittsburgh team that has a lot of questions at the position ahead of Week 1 getting here. Despite that, Howard has got to be excited that his NFL Draft wait is over and that he'll be starting this new journey with a close teammate of his.

The hope was that Howard would get drafted a little sooner, but hey, this feels like a fantastic landing spot for him. There's still a ton of buzz that Aaron Rodgers will end up signing with the Steelers to take over as the starter.

Should that happen, Howard could still compete for the QB2 job and learn from a future Hall-of-Famer. That doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. Howard of course is always going to have countless members of Buckeyes Nation in his corner after what he was able to get done last season.

Howard transferred in from Kansas State and helped power Ohio State to an unforgettable season. It of course ended with the Buckeyes taking down Notre Dame with the CFP title on the line. On the year, Howard tossed for 4,010 yards and 35 touchdowns.

He was one and done in Columbus, but he sure won over a lot of people thanks to his brilliant play on the field. He was such an easy guy to root for as well because of how humble he was. The next stop is Pittsburgh for the 6-4 QB. It sure is fun knowing Sawyer will be joining him for the ride too.
