The Ohio State football team lost a game for the first time this season. The Buckeyes lost to Oregon 32-31. It was a game they easily could have won. Still, they lost the game and now go into the bye week with a sour taste in their mouth as they have to figure out how to fix their issues.

This loss exposed a lot of problems for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The defense was horrendous from the very start and needs an overhaul. The punting continues to be terrible. There were plenty of other issues that cropped up in this game, including bad mental errors.

Despite all of the bad we saw on Saturday night, there are still some positive things that the Buckeyes can take away from this game. All of their goals are still achievable. They also still did some good things in this game, specifically offensively.

The offense was still productive. They had a ton of yards, 467 of them in fact. The only times they didn't move the ball was when they hurt themselves. Quinshon Judkins fumbled the ball early and that led to a Ducks touchdown. Ohio State also had several pre-snap penalties that hurt. Of course, the OPI on the last drive was a killer too.

Will Howard played pretty well in a big game, which was good to see. He didn't turn the ball over and was responsible for three touchdowns. The only bad thing he did was not slide sooner on the final play of the game to leave Ohio State enough time for a game-winning field goal.
