Several schools are still working to flip 5-star Ohio State WR commit

Ohio State commit Jamier Brown is still garnering a lot of interest from other schools, but he seems pretty locked in with the Buckeyes.

With the Ohio State football season now officially over, head coach Ryan Day has all of his focus on the recruiting aspect of the sport. Of course, the transfer portal is taking precedence over all types of recruiting as it will bring in experience and be a quicker fix to some of the holes forming on the roster. However, Day isn't forgetting about high school recruiting.

Day had a big win in November when he landed five-star wide receiver Jamiar Brown in the Class of 2027. Brown was a highly sought-after player in the 2027 recruiting class, but he chose to Buckeyes over other top programs.

Granted, it is still early in Brown's recruitment, and just because he has committed to the Buckeyes does not mean he will stick with them. Many other programs are still making a push to flip the elite wideout, but Brown has said he has a good idea of where he wants to be.

5-star WR Jamier Brown still has Ohio State at the top of his recruiting list

It is not uncommon to see a player that has been committed to a program for a long time to flip later in his recruiting process. Brown committed to the Buckeyes in November of 2025, and he won;t officially sign with a school for nearly a year later.

That is a lot of time for other schools to come in and try to get him to flip. However, his latest statement about his recruiting should give Ohio State fans a little bit of relief.

"I know where I want to be," Brown said.

It seems like Brown knows he wants to be with the Buckeyes. Why else would he have already committed to the? So while other program want to try and flip the No. 1 wide receiver in the Class of 2027, he seems pretty happy with Ohio State, but of course, he is still going to entertain any sort of official visits offered to him.
