The Ohio State football team didn't have much juice for Senior Day against Rutgers. It was pretty clear early on in the game when Ohio State held just a 14-3 halftime lead. Neither Jeremiah Smith nor Carnell Tate played in the game, and their absences were clearly noted.

Still, the Ohio State Buckeyes turned things on in the second half and were able to win the game with relative ease, 42-9. The second half was much more stress-free than the first half was, which is good. Still, Gus Johnson didn't have much juice for this game even when the second half rolled around.

Johnson used to be the best play-by-play guy in the business. His excitement and ability to pick things up on the fly were great for the first few years with FOX. In recent years, things have changed. He has fallen off, and fans of the Buckeyes were quick to call him out.

Ohio State football fans call out Gus Johnson for juiceless touchdown call

Take a listen to Johnson's call for this Ohio State touchdown.

Buckeye fans were not happy with the lack of excitement from Johnson for this call and took to social media to call him out for his lack of juice for this game in general.

Perhaps part of it is the fact that Johnson is a Michigan fan, although he does do a very good job of keeping bias out of his games. Johnson might be saving his voice for next week when the Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor for The Game. That's a game that will have juice surrounding it.

Regardless of how Johnson called this game, the Buckeyes got the win. That's all Ohio State was focused on in this game, Now, they can face their full attention on the Wolverines and really start opening the playbook up on the offensive end of the field.

Jeremiah Smith will be back for that game, as it's on his birthday. It remains to be seen if Carnell Tate cares to play.
