Over the past three weeks, the Ohio State football program has been on another planet. Following the loss to TTUN, they have completely turned themselves around. After they looked dead in the water, the Ohio State Buckeyes are now just one win away from a national championship.

One of the big reasons for that has been the change in approach from Ryan Day. Day has decided to make the team much more aggressive on the offensive side of the ball. The play-calling has largely been great because he has empowered Chip Kelly to be as aggressive as he wants.

Day deserves an enormous amount of credit for being able to turn this team around. His ability to get his guys to re-focus and get them to play their best football has been great. When you see his pregame speech for the Cotton Bowl, you'll understand why his players are willing to run through a wall for him.

Ryan Day's pregame speech for the Cotton Bowl fires up the Ohio State football team

Even in this short clip, you can see why the Buckeyes want to win this national championship for their coach more than anyone else.

In the last four seasons, I have not seen Day act like this once. He has turned into a lunatic, which seems to be having a good effect on the rest of the team. He's more fired up than he has ever been to lead the Ohio State football program. The results speak for themselves.

Notre Dame is the last team standing in the way of a national title. Ohio State just has to play one more great game, and this team will forever live in Buckeye lore. Jack Sawyer already has one of the best plays in Ohio State football history, but it needs to come in a national championship season.

The Buckeyes take on Notre Dame on Monday at 7:30 ET for the national championship.
