Rumors are swirling that one Ohio State football player is seriously injured

Coming out of the Oregon game, the Ohio State football team is in rough shape. They lost that game 32-31 and lost a few guys to injury. Josh Simmons, the left tackle, is out for the season after being carted off the field. That's the biggest loss to injury so far this year.

We found out during the bye week that Quinshon Judkins had surgery on his hand. It seems as though the Buckeyes are getting hit with injuries all over the place. While Judkins should be back this week, there are rumors swirling around that one Ohio State football player will not be.

Lathan Ransom has had a career plagued with injuries. He suffered his first big injury in the Rose Bowl against Utah when he broke his leg in gruesome fashion on a kickoff. Since then, he hasn't played a complete season yet. He missed four games last year. If some rumors are true, he might miss more games this year.

Rumors are swirling that the Ohio State football team might be without Lathan Ransom for a while

There are rumors circulating that the Ohio State Buckeyes will be without Ransom for quite a while. An injury hasn't been fully disclosed, but Day mentioned during his radio show that the Buckeyes "will get a couple of guys back". Based on the rumors, Ransom might not be one of those guys.

If Ransom is out of this game, it's unclear who will take over the spot at safety. It sounds like it could be Lorenzo Styles instead of Malik Hartford. Personally, I'd prefer Hartford. He's played very well during the limited snaps he's gotten over the past couple of years.

Ransom being out for multiple weeks would stink, especially with the Penn State game coming up in a couple of weeks. The defense got cooked agaisnt Oregon. Losing a starter in the secondary won't help their efforts of correcting those issues.
