The Ohio State football program put out a statement on New Year's Day. They showed that they are the most talented team in college football, something we always thought. They proved it after destroying Oregon 41-21. It was a game that a lot of current Buckeyes thought was extra sweet for a few reasons.

Losing the first matchup by just a single point was one of those reasons. Will Howard took that especially hard, saying that he had nightmares about that final play. He was able to get his revenge by throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns against the Ducks in the Rose Bowl.

That wasn't the only reason why winning this game was sweet, especially for Ohio State fans. The Buckeyes had quite a few recruits spurn the Buckeyes in favor of the Ducks. Having this blowout happen could show that those recruits made the wrong decision.
