Radio host has absurd reason for not voting Julian Sayin as Heisman winner

The Radio host has a ridiculous reason for not wanting to vote for the Ohio State quarterback to win the award.

The Ohio State football program currently has the Heisman favorite on the roster. Right now, quarterback Julian Sayin is the odds-on favorite to win the prestigious award. After two straight dominant performances through the air, Sayin has earned that right.

This doesn't mean that Sayin will ultimately win the award when the season ends. It very well could come down to how well he plays against Indiana in the Big The Championship Game if both teams end up playing each other in Indy. It could come down to Sayin and Fernando Mendoza for that award.

Despite the crazy numbers that Sayin has been putting up, one radio host doesn't believe that Sayin deserves to win the award. In fact, he is borderline insulted that anyone would vote for him, claiming that he has the easiest job in college football.

Radio host rips Ohio State QB Julian Sayin for being a Heisman candidate

Andrew Perloff of Maggie and Perloff of SIRUSXM doesn't believe that the Buckeyes have a deserving candidate at quarterback because of how good the receivers are.

“There’s a lot of Heisman hype, but how hard is his job? Let’s be realistic. I mean, Penn State, that means nothing. How could people vote for Julian Sayin? Who has Ohio State beaten? They’re in the Big Ten, who are they going to beat? I mean, I don’t know, I can’t understand it. How do you know what this actually means until he’s playing a good team? And he’s throwing to the great wide receiving corps we’ve seen, except for the last three years of Ohio State wide receivers.”

It seems that Perloff is conveniently forgetting that Sayin beat Texas to start off the year. He was also able to take down Washington, another team that is ranked in the CFP top 25. Sayin has also dominated inferior competition in the last two games, which is exactly what he's supposed to do.

His argument for not voting for Sayin is not a smart one. The receivers are very good, but Sayin still has to make the throws to hit those guys. His throws to Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith in the last two weeks have been incredible. Not everyone can make those pinpoint throws.

How the Buckeyes end up finishing could determine if he is going to be the Heisman winner, or if he'll just be a Finalist. Either way, he's certainly one of the best players in college football.
