After a disappointing ending to Ohio State's football season, we can look ahead at Ohio State's expectations, as well as its schedule for the upcoming season. As of today, the Buckeyes are still without an offensive coordinator, and the expectation is that they will either bring in someone from the NFL or they will promote someone internally
Looking ahead at the 2026 schedule, the Buckeyes will have various challenging games next year. Starting in Week 2 on September 12th, the Buckeyes go on the road at Texas, a rematch of the Week 1 game from this past year. Texas is much improved and returned a lot of players
Another crucial game to look at is at Indiana on October 17th against the national champions and the Big Ten champions. This will be a great rematch to see if the Buckeyes learned from their loss to see if they can come out of Bloomington with a win
Other games to look at on the schedule are at Iowa, at Nebraska, home vs USC, home vs Michigan, home vs Oregon, and home vs Illinois
Ohio State is going to have to be really focused this upcoming season. They can be an 11-win team and national champions again, or they can lose five games. There are so many teams that are capable of beating Ohio State, with most of them returning their rosters
