What comes to mind for TTUN is "a win" when thinking about Ohio State football
By Ryan Stano
The most important thing for Ohio State football fans this season is that the Buckeyes are able to beat Michigan. They have lost The Game in each of the last three seasons and they want things to change. It's the longest losing streak the program has had to them since the 1990s.
Michigan players have gotten way too cocky about the best rivalry in sports. We heard what J.J. McCarthy had to say a few weeks ago. It seems that another current Michigan player has decided to put up some bulletin board material for the Buckeyes as well.
When speaking to the media for Big Ten Media Day, current Wolverine Makari Paige was answering questions. Paige is a defensive back who has just one career interception in four years. Despite that, he felt comfortable talking smack about the Ohio State football program.
Michigan player says the first thing that comes to mind is "a win" when Ohio State football is mentioned
When asked about what comes to mind when Ohio State is mentioned, Paige said, "a win, a dub". Take a look at the clip below.
As you can see, he clearly thinks Ohio State is an easy opponent. Ryan Day is to blame for that. He has just one win over TTUN since he's taken over as head coach, and it was his first season on the job with Urban Meyer's players to help him out. He hasn't beaten them with his guys yet.
That should change this season if you look at the rosters on paper. Ohio State's defense is the nastiest it's been since that 2019 season and the offense should be improved too. All that's left is for the Buckeyes to actually go out on the field and get the win.
Ohio State football fans know what it's like to get a little too confident over the direction of the rivalry. That's what happened until the 2021 game. Michigan better be careful that they don't fall into the same trap.
