The former running backs coach for the Ohio State football program left for Michigan and tried to troll Ohio State fans about it. It didn't go well for him.

Tony Alford decided to leave the Ohio State football program for Michigan just a couple of weeks into Spring practice. That leaves the Buckeyes in a position where they have to hire a new guy while the players are still getting some work in, which is not ideal.

Ohio State football fans have not been happy with his decision to leave. It's not that he left (Ryan Day almost fired him this offseason anyway), it's who he left for. He decided to go to the team and program that the Buckeyes hate the worst. It's about him doing something against the rivalry.

Alford took to social media to try and justify/troll Ohio State fans. Take a look at the post below.

Fans were quick with their replies and they showed that it's not the fact that Alford left, it's that he did so for TTUN. "It's not that you left. It's that of all places you went to the opps." wrote one Twitter user. "It’s not about you leaving, it’s about where you chose instead. Hope this helped!" wrote another.

As you can see, Ohio State fans are not happy with Alford. He has pretty much turned himself into public enemy number one when it comes to Ohio State football fans. I'm sure there are plenty of Buckeye football players that have similar thoughts that haven't been voiced to the public.

Ohio State is already all-in this season. Beating Michigan is the most important thing that matters this season. As if losing in the last three meetings to that team wasn't enough, this happens. The Buckeyes won't be lacking for bulletin-board material, I can tell you that.

Next. Next story. Ohio State dodged a bullet not landing this transfer. dark

Interviews are currently being conducted to find Alford's replacement as we speak. We'll see how things go with that, but the running backs are going to be insane no matter who comes in to replace Alford.
