Three reasons why the Ohio State football team will win the national title

3. The Ohio State football team has a better play-caller on offense
When Chip Kelly left UCLA, it surprised a lot of college football fans. Why would a head coach of a Power 5 program drop down to be an offensive coordinator somewhere else, especially for someone he used to be the boss of? Adding Chip Kelly to Ohio State's coaching staff surprised everyone.
Kelly simply just wants to coach football. He doesn't want to have to deal with the crap that surrounds being a head coach in modern college football. He'd rather be designing plays and coaching players than having to attend fundraising meetings and NIL collective meetings.
Because of that, the Ohio State Buckeyes get a brilliant guy to run the offense for them. He is one of the smartest offensive minds in the history of college football. Ryan Day's play-calling had become stale and predictable, especially in the run game. That won't be the case this season.
All of Kelly's UCLA teams were solid rushing teams. He was able to come up with unique play-calls to get the Bruins to be able to move the ball on the ground. He's going to bring that to Ohio State. With a mobile quarterback and two dynamic running backs, the ground game is going to be deadly for the Buckeyes.
For all of these reasons, the Ohio State football team should win the national championship this season. Anything less than that would be disappointing for a team with so many returning seniors. They want to make their mark in college football history.
