3. Cody Simon

The most experienced linebacker on the roster, Cody Simon has had himself a great Fall camp. This is his final year of eligibility and he had the lead for a starting spot coming out of Spring. Even with Sonny Styles moving down to linebacker, Simon seemed to be holding him at bay.

Not only has Simon won the battle over Styles, he has won it over C.J. Hicks too. Now it's Hicks and Styles who are battling for that other linebacker spot. Even though I think both of those linebackers are more talented than Simon, he has impressed the coaches enough to give him a starting spot.

Simon was also selected to wear the Block O jersey, which is a huge honor. Not only has he impressed the coaches with his play, but his teammates as well. That honor is voted on by his teammates, so he won them over in a big way.

On top of that, Simon was also voted as one of the four captains of the team. Simon has had himself a whale of a Fall camp and clearly deserves all of these honors. Let's hope that he can keep his play going and he's an impact guy all throughout this season.

Those are the three big winners so far for the Ohio State football team. All of them are going to try to use this momentum to propel them into a big 2024 season.
