The Ohio State football team has started the season with a few nonsensical injuries. Before the season opener, they were missing two starters. Donovan Jackson missed the first two games because of a hamstring injury and Cody Simon missed the opener as well.

It was extremely frustrating to have two starters out before they even played a game this year. It makes no sense why those guys shold have been hurt before the year started. Then, the Buckeyes lost a player at the end of the second game against Western Michigan.

Tyleik Williams was hurt at the end of that game. While no official injury report was given on him, he was seen favoring his shoulder when he was walking off the field. He then missed last week's game against Marshall. There is good news as far as his injury is concerned for this week though.

Tyleik Williams will return for the Ohio State football team

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Williams will return this weekend against Michigan State. With it being the Ohio State Buckeyes' first Big Ten game and their first road game, it's imperative to have Williams up front. Ohio State needs to stop the run and he helps them do that.

It's unclear where the rest of the Buckeyes sit on the injury front right now, but they seemed to get out of the Marshall game cleanly. I expect this team to be pretty healthy heading into Saturday. We'll give you an availability report when it comes out before the game.

As for Williams, it's good to see him only have to miss one game due to the injury. It's very good that it wasn't a long-term deal. The Buckeyes are going to need all of their starters for their next couple of games against Iowa and Oregon too.
