The Ohio State football team uses a big second half to put away Iowa
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team had a tough go in the first half against Iowa. They turned it over twice and only scored seven points. While they held a 7-0 lead, the Buckeyes were not playing well at all. Iowa is a good team, but Ohio State's talent should have taken over sooner.
It didn't last much longer once the teams came out of the locker room for the second half. The Ohio State Buckeyes turned it on in the second half and scored 35 straight points en route to a 35-7 win. While the defense played well all game, the offense got it in gear in the second half.
Will Howard had a strange start to this game. While he started 10/10, he threw a horrible interception in the first half. It was the second straight game that he made a bad decision with a pick. He picked it up in the second half though and finished the game 21/25 for 209 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for a score.

Emeka Egbuka had a huge game as well. He had nine catches for 71 yards and three touchdowns in this game and looked like the best player on the field. He reminded everyone just how good of a football player he is. It was great to see him break out in a big way.
Jeremiah Smith had another crazy one-handed touchdown catch. While he did fumble the ball, he made up for it with that sick catch. He finished the game with four catches and 89 yards to go along with that touchdown.
The Buckeyes were able to avoid the trap game that was Iowa. Oregon didn't look that impressive against Michigan State on Friday night. Ohio State should have a lot of momentum heading into the toughest game of their schedule.
