The Ohio State football team is ready to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes have the best defense that the Buckeyes have faced so far this year. Quite frankly, it might end up being the best defense that they face all season long. Of course, that depends on if they make the Playoff.

Still, it will be a stout challenge for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Making things harder is the fact that the Ohio State football team takes on Oregon next week. It's going to be tough to make sure that they just focus on this game in front of them and they aren't caught looking ahead.

While this is definitely a trap game, Ryan Day has preached all year long just taking it one game at a time. According to DraftKings, Ohio State is an 18-point favorite. The over/under is surprisingly low, sitting at just 45.5. It's clear the oddsmakers don't expect much of a game.

Final odds and a prediction for the Ohio State football team vs. Iowa

As far as what the Buckeyes are going to do against Iowa, I think the oddsmakers might be playing it a bit conservatively. I do think it will be close in the first half. In fact, one of my bold predictions says that this will be a game to start the second half.

That doesn't mean that I think the Hawkeyes will win the game. In fact, I'm not even sure that they will end up covering. Eighteen points to the Buckeyes is not the same as it is to another offense. With how explosive their offense is, they can have multiple one-play drives.

I think the Buckeyes win comfortably by three touchdowns. Iowa's offense isn't the same inept offense we've watched for the past few years, so I expect them to be able to put up some points. I just expect Will Howard and company to put up more.

The Buckeyes should still be undefeated when they take on the Ducks next weekend.
