August was a huge recruiting month for the Ohio State football team. They are already in danger of striking out on all of the several high-level recruits who are committing this month.

The Ohio State football team has the best recruiting class in the country and has for a while. They have 24 commits for the 2025 recruiting class and were hoping to add some more high-level talent. The Buckeyes have some really good players in this class.

Still, the month of August could have been huge for them. There are several big-time recruits who are committing in the month of August. So far, none of them have committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. It's a pattern that is concerning for how they want to finish off the recruiting class.

The Buckeyes lost a five-star recruit to a Big Ten foe. What's worse is that that kid is an in-state prospect and Ohio State was the favorite for him in the beginning. Now, the Buckeyes are about to lose the opportunity to get the best offensive lineman in the country.

It's a shame that the Buckeyes have already lost those two five-star recruits. In order to salvage the month and how they finish off the 2025 recruiting class, they need to land Jaime Ffrench. Ffrench is a five-star receiver who has been favored to pick the Buckeyes for quite a while.

Ffrench would be the only five-star receiver that they have in this class. if the Buckeyes lose him to Texas, Brian Hartline still wouldn't have anything to be ashamed of. His recruiting record is the best of any of the assistant coaches on the Buckeye coaching staff.

Still, not landing Ffrench would continue the disappointing way that the month of August is going on the recruiting trail. But it's not all doom and gloom. Even with a disappointing finish to the 2025 class, the Buckeyes still have a legitimate shot at having the best recruiting class in the country.
