Mike Hall won't have far to move for his pro career. The former Ohio State football player is going to play for the Cleveland Browns.

Former Ohio State football player Mike Hall wasn't sure where he was going to be playing next season. He wasn't sure when he was going to get picked either. Quite frankly, we weren't sure who the second Buckeye off the board was going to be. We thought it would be Hall, but we weren't sure.

Hall was indeed the second Ohio State football player to be taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was taken in the second round by the Cleveland Browns. Not only does he get to stay in the state of Ohio for his pro career, but he gets to go play for a team that is pretty good already.

The Browns needed some help up front on the defensive line. They weren't very good at rushing the passer, especially on the interior. Getting someone like Hall gives them a chance to push the pocket more from the middle and attack the quarterback.

Hall won't start right away but he will be able to get some snaps right away. He will certainly be out there in obvious passing situations, specifically third-and-long scenarios. He still needs a bit of work stopping the run, but he typically finds a way to be near the ball.

This is a good spot for Hall to land. He doesn't have the pressure of starting right away and he can still learn and get better while still getting some playing time. If he keeps improving and getting stronger, he could start for them in a couple of years.

Hall was the second Buckeye off the board. There will be a lot more taken on Saturday. It will be interesting to see just how many Buckeyes can get taken before the end of the Draft. I think there will be seven total Buckeyes taken, but we'll see.
