Ohio State football vs. Oregon will be on primetime on NBC
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program knows some of the times of their games early in the year. They know they will open the season against Akron at 3:30 pm on CBS on August 31st. They also know they will take on Western Michigan at 7:30 on Big Ten Network in Week 2. Obviously, The Game is at noon on FOX.
Most of the other Big Ten games haven't been announced yet. The Big Ten likes to wait until the last possible second to determine the time and the network of which the games will be played. Thanks to Joel Klatt of FOX, we do know the time and network of the hardest game on the Buckeyes' schedule.
According to Klatt, the Ohio State Buckeyes will take on Oregon in primetime on NBC. That means that the game will likely be at 7:30 pm on October 12th. It's a day that has a lot of great matchups across college football, so that game would end up being the nightcap.
Ohio State football team will play Oregon on NBC in primetime
Oregon is by far the toughest foe that the Buckeyes will face this season. They have an electric offense with some really good players. They can score points in a hurry. Add in the fact that the game is on the road and at night and Ohio State has their work cut out for them.
Ohio State has the best defense in the country so they should be able to keep up with the Ducks' offense. It would be surprising to me if this game ended up being some sort of shootout. If it is, Ohio State's offense better be ready by that point. They'll have five games to be prepared prior to this showdown.
As we learn more about what network and time the Buckeyes will play more games, we will let you know. This news means that this matchup against Oregon has just gotten harder.
