1. Jeremiah Smith

It's hard to have a freshman come in with so much hype and live up to expectations. That's what Jeremiah Smith is dealing with right now. He's the number one recruit in the country and has a lot of talent. He's a physical freak, which just makes the hype even that much higher.

Nothing he's done this Spring has changed the expectations for him. In fact, they have raised significantly since he's been with the Ohio State football team. He's done things so far that demand he be on the field a significant amount when the Fall rolls around.

Ryan Day even said that there's a shot Smith could start if he keeps doing the things he's doing in practice. That's how talented this kid is. He's gotten better every single practice and is only going to continue to get better as the year goes on. The Spring Game is going to be big for him.

Smith's ability to separate and get open is uncanny for his age. He's just a freshman and he's making some of these talented defensive backs look like fools. Quite honestly, the Spring Game should only exacerbate the hype even more because the fans will be able to see how good he is.

Whether Smith starts or someone else is able to keep him behind them on the depth chart will be interesting to watch. There are only a few Spring practices left, so the other receivers need to make a strong impression on the coaching staff.
