FOX released their Friday night football schedule for this year. The Ohio State football program was not on the schedule.

The Ohio State football program is one of the biggest draws that TV channels get during college football season. Executives love having Buckeye games. They draw big ratings, no matter who they play and no matter what time they play. That's why FOX likes to get as many of their games as possible.

FOX recently released their schedule of Friday night games for this season. Personally, I don't think Friday night games are smart for college football. That should be reserved for high school football. Friday night games hurt recruiting as well for teams.

The good news for Ohio State football fans is that the Buckeyes were not on FOX's schedule. That doesn't mean they won't have a Friday night game on Big Ten Network. They just won't have one on FOX. There are still some games that haven't been announced yet as far as network and time.

Ryan Day has voiced displeasure with Friday night games in the past. Perhaps executives took that to heart. I am thankful that they are not Rutgers. They have a game that starts at 11 pm at USC on a Friday night this season. That's super late for a far East Coast team.

The Buckeyes will have at least one game on CBS and on NBC as well. We just don't know which games those will be yet. CBS has the 3:30 pm time slot for their games, just like it was for the SEC. NBC has the night slot, just like the Big Ten used to have with ABC.

I don't think that the Buckeyes are too broken up about not having to play on FOX on Friday this year. They are more focused on improving every day so they can achieve their goal of winning a Big Ten championship and a national championship.
