When players are able to recruit other players to the Ohio State football program, that makes things interesting. It means that the players love the school so much that they want the other top recruits in the country to come in with them and continue building something.

Current Ohio State recruit Tavien St. Clair is trying to do the same thing. The quarterback from Bellefontaine is currently the second-best recruit overall in the country. He is trying to become the number-one recruit, but he has some other things on his mind as well.

One of those things is to get the best offensive lineman in the country to become a Buckeye. The only thing more important than having weapons to throw to for a quarterback is having a strong offensive line to block for him. St. Clair understands that and is trying to make sure he has both.

St. Clair has been recruiting David Sanders Jr. to commit to the Ohio State football program. The number one offensive line recruit talked about it recently.

Sanders Jr. did take a visit to Columbus in the Spring and has an official visit scheduled toward the end of June. He is trending towards Clemson right now, but Ohio State can still change that. The Buckeyes need a big-time offensive recruit like Sanders Jr.

Justin Frye has yet to land a big-time offensive line recruit since joining the Ohio State coaching staff two years ago. If he can get Sanders Jr., that would change Frye's trajectory with the Buckeyes. He would gain some serious job security and that would allow Ryan Day to put some serious faith into him.

It's cool that St. Clair is trying his hardest to get Sanders Jr. to commit to Ohio State. In some ways, it's more effective for players to recruit other players than it is for coaches to do so. Hopefully, he's successful.
