The Ohio State football program will have a new starting quarterback for the third straight year. It will likely be Will Howard after he transferred in from Kansas State. He will be a senior with one thing on his mind; winning a national championship. That's his sole goal this season.

Chip Kelly is the new offensive coordinator for the Buckeyes and has been trying to put the offense in the best possible place to achieve that goal. He is reunited with Justin Frye and that should help the offensive line. He is also reunited with a brand new coach that the Ohio State football program is bringing in.

Bill Fessler will be hired by the Buckeyes as an analyst to work with the quarterbacks according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. He will now work with the bevy of quarterbacks that Ohio State has. Kelly had actually hired Fessler as the quarterbacks coach at UCLA before he left for Ohio State.

Fessler is very familiar with the Big Ten having played at Penn State. While he was never a starter, he has a few years of coaching experience. Before being hired by UCLA, he had been a grad assistant at Ohio State before he moved on to Akron. He was there for two seasons being both the quarterbacks coach and the offensive coordinator in his final season.

While Fessler is taking a slight demotion in terms of title, he is going to a much better program and will learn from two of the best offensive minds in college football. Day and Kelly will provide him with a wealth of knowledge that Fessler can use to further his coaching career.

Ohio State has a lot of talented quarterbacks on the roster. Fessler has his work cut out for him. If he helps this group of quarterbacks succeed, he'll have an opportunity to get a good job.
