Ohio State football picks up crystal ball prediction for in-state running back

The Ohio State football team really impressed one particular recruit on his visit this weekend.

The Ohio State football program hosted a number of prospects over the weekend. In fact, they hosted a total of ten. Two of those recruits are already commits in the 2025 recruiting class while the rest are still trying to decide where they will end up.

One of those recruits was very impressed with his visit. Dakorien Moore, the nation's top receiver recruit, has already said that the visit will be tough to beat. Another prospect whom the Buckeyes hosted was impressed as well. In fact, Ohio State is now the favorite to land him.

I'm talking about four-star running back Bo Jackson. Jackson is from the Cleveland area and was one of those ten recruits who visited over the weekend. For a while, it looked like Jackson wasn't someone Ohio State was prioritizing at the running back position. That has clearly changed.

After the visit, he now has a crystal ball projection to land with the Ohio State football program. The Buckeyes don't have a running back commitment for the 2025 recruiting class so Jackson would be the first. Ohio State brought in two running backs in the 2024 class.

Jackson has good size and speed, exactly what the Buckeyes are looking for at the running back position. The Buckeyes will only have three scholarship running backs on the roster next season, including two freshmen this season. They need more depth at that spot.

The Buckeyes like the players they have now at running back, but they obviously still would like to have some depth in case injuries hit. Jackson still has a visit scheduled with Alabama next weekend, so we'll have to see how that goes. Ohio State is hoping they can get him.

After that visit, I would expect a commitment fairly soon. Things would be even better if he were to cancel that visit to Tuscaloosa.
