The Ohio State football program always has the best group of receivers in the country. Because of the way they recruit, they are able to reload year in and year out at that position. They are trying to do the same for the same for the 2025 recruiting class as well.

Ohio State hosted the top-ranked wide receiver for the 2025 class this weekend. Dakorien Moore de-committed from LSU and is now looking at a few other schools. Ohio State is the first of a few visits that he has scheduled for this summer. This is also the first weekend that prospects can make official visits, so the Buckeyes got the first crack at him.

Apparently, Moore really enjoyed his visit. According to 247Sports' Mike Roach, this visit set the bar high for his future visits. Ohio State really has been recruiting him hard, even before he decided to de-commit from LSU. He will be visiting LSU, Oregon, and Texas later this summer.

Moore would be the first five-star receiver that the Buckeyes would land for the 2025 cycle. As of right now, they have just one receiver recruit period. We know that won't last with how well Brian Hartline is able to recruit. In fact, Moore is one of three five-star receivers who have Ohio State near the top of his list.

I'm not sure how many of those receivers the Buckeyes will ultimately land, but they have a good shot to land at least two of them. Even if they just get one, that's still a good haul for a recruiting class. They have the second-best class in the country right now as it is.

Adding Moore would be a great thing for the Ohio State football program. They still some work to do to convince him to commit instead of one of the other three programs he's going to be visiting.
