Ohio State football could get another stud from the transfer portal

It doesn't seem like the Ohio State football program is done grabbing guys from the transfer portal. They are favored to grab another stud from the portal who can help this team immediately.

The Ohio State football program grabbed two guys from the transfer portal last week. They identified their 2024 starting quarterback after taking in Will Howard from Kansas State and they improved their offensive line by getting Seth McLaughlin. Both will be starters next season.

It doesn't seem that the Buckeyes are done with the portal yet though. They are the favored team to land another stud from the transfer portal who would be a massive help to a room that desperately needs depth. That player is running back Quinshon Judkins.

Judkins is a running back from Ole Miss who is considered the top running back in the transfer portal. In each of the last two seasons, he has run for over 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns. This past season, he had 17 total touchdowns for the Rebels. He was the best player on their offense.

Adding Judkins would be a massive boost for the Ohio State football team. Their running back depth is extremely poor right now after losing three backs in the offseason, and they could still lose a fourth. If Judkins does sign with the Buckeyes, it calls into question the future of TreVeyon Henderson.

Henderson was rumored to be back for next season. But if Judkins comes in, it would be a massive surprise to see Henderson also return for his senior season. If they both are on campus though, the Buckeyes would immediately have the best backfield in college football.

Next. Next story. Tim Walton is earning his keep. dark

Ryan Day seems to be doing a pretty good job improving his roster using the portal. He knows that he needs the best possible team next year if he wants to keep his job past 2024. Adding Judkins to go along with a new center and offensive lineman would be a great way to make the offense more potent.
