Ohio State football commit lighting it up at the Elite 11 Finals
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has a commitment from the number two recruit in the country for the 2025 recruiting class. That is Tavien St. Clair. St. Clair is a five-star recruit from Bellefontaine and is showing people just how good he is despite playing for such a small school.
Last week at a camp at Ohio State, he showed off great arm strength and accuracy. He was invited to the Elite 11 Finals so he could compete with the rest of the great quarterbacks in the country. He's hoping to be the MVP of the camp just like some other former Ohio State quarterbacks.
Other former Buckeyes to win the MVP are Julian Sayin, C.J. Stroud, and Justin Fields. St. Clair is trying to follow in their steps and become the latest Ohio State football player to win the Elite 11 MVP. After the first day, he's given himself a good chance to do that.
In fact, it looks like he has the lead after the first day of the competition according to 247Sports. St. Clair has that lead because he was the winner of the Accuracy Challenge that they held. His accuracy is a big part of what attracted Ohio State to him in the first place.
Day 2 will tell us who ends up being the MVP, so St. Clair still has time to perform even better. He is trying to put himself in the conversation to start next season when Will Howard is out of eligibility. Next year is going to see an epic battle for the starting quarterback job.
Right now, St. Clair is just focused on winning the Elite 11 MVP and performing the best he can in the Finals. He's one of the best quarterback prospects to come out of Ohio in a long time.
