Ohio State basketball program predicted to land former five-star recruit from portal

While this was a big weekend for the Ohio State football program, it was for the Ohio State basketball program too. They are still trying to navigate the transfer portal in the wake of several big-time head coaches changing jobs, including John Calipari.
Ohio State hosted one of Calipari's former players on a visit this weekend. They hosted former Kentucky center Aaron Bradshaw. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and was the number four overall recruit in the country and the number one center.
Bradshaw didn't play a lot as a freshman. He played just 13.8 minutes a game and averaged just 4.9 points per game. Despite those numbers, he still is obviously extremely talented and has a lot of value that he could give to the Ohio State basketball team if he decides to transfer to Columbus.
After his visit, that's exactly what is projected to happen. Bradshaw is now predicted to head to Columbus and play for the Buckeyes next season. He would battle Felix Okpara for the starting center spot. There might be an opportunity that both Bradshaw and Okpara could start together too.
The Buckeyes really need center depth. With Zed Key now gone and playing for Dayton, the Buckeyes need someone to step up and play some solid minutes. Bradshaw is a good player who deserves some playing time. He would have an opportunity to earn a lot of playing time at Ohio State if that's where he decides to end up.
There isn't an indication as to when Bradshaw will make an announcement as to where he will be transferring to. Based on the projections, I'm sure that the announcement will come soon. Ohio State is not done in the portal either. They're going to continue to be active to improve their roster.
