Marshall coach hilariously tries to get Ohio State football players to transfer
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program is taking on Marshall this weekend. It's the first game they play coming off their first bye of the year. It's just their third game of the year, but they should be ready to dominate as they did in each of the first two games against Akron and Western Michigan.
Charles Huff knows what kind of challenge the Thundering Herd have ahead of them going against the Buckeyes. Huff and his team are likely going to lose in the Shoe, but that didn't stop him from trying to take some of the Buckeyes and make them new members of his own squad.
Marshall coach tries to entice Ohio State football players with biscuit NIL deal
During his press conference, Huff tried to entice Ohio State football players to transfer to Marshall by using an NIL deal the Thundering Herd has with a biscuit company as the sweetener. He did this all tongue-in-cheek of course. Take a look at the clip below.
It's a pretty funny way to lighten things up. Huff knows that the Buckeyes are the more talented team and that his program is just getting a check to get beaten. That doesn't mean that it's not a valuable experience for his program though. Those players can learn a lot from Saturday.
This will be the only time they get to play a team full of players who are this good. They will get to measure themselves against the best in the country to see how far they still have to go to get there. The Ohio State Buckeyes are better than any team they'll see in the Sun Belt.
Ohio State is a massive favorite on Saturday. Will Howard could have a massive game. He hasn't played a full game yet this season and I don't expect him to do so on Saturday either. He should still put up some gaudy numbers before the backups come in.
Perhaps Huff does end up getting a Buckeye in the transfer portal next year. You never know!
