The Ohio State football team has dominated each of the first two weeks of the season. Neither the Akron game nor the Western Michigan game were close at any point. They won both of those games with their defense giving a dominating effort, including pitching a shutout.

Ohio State's offense looked pretty solid as well. Jeremiah Smith had a coming-out party as a true freshman. The rest of the offense was solid too, especially the running game. They were able to score over 100 points in the first two weeks of the year despite not having their best offensive lineman available.

Donovan Jackson has missed the first two games of the season due to a hamstring injury. It's frustrating that he missed the first two games due to a soft tissue injury that he didn't even hurt during an actual game. After the bye week, things are much better.

The Ohio State football team will get Donovan Jackson back this week

Ryan Day did his weekly press conference on Tuesday and told the media that Jackson will be back this week to make his season debut. Austin Siereveld has been starting in his stead and has been playing pretty well as a backup. It's still nice to have Jackson back in the starting lineup.

Jackson will make his season debut against a bad Marshall team. The Buckeyes should be able to run the ball even better with the addition of Jackson. He's the best offensive lineman that Ohio State has. Jackson is also a good pass-protector, so he's a welcome addition to the team.

Obviously, the Ohio State Buckeyes don't need him to win this game. Having him come back to the team this week is important so that he gets game reps before the Big Ten portion of the schedule starts. That's something that's extremely important for this team to do.
