Former Ohio State basketball players have been playing in The Basketball Tournament for years. The roster this year doesn't have quite as many former Buckeyes as previous years. Even so, they are prominently involved in the success of Carmen's Crew as they move through TBT.

Despite starting as a 3-seed, Carmen's Crew has bested all but one team for that big prize. They are now in the finals after beating the Kentucky alumni team La Familia 76-70 on Friday night. They did so on the strength of multiple Buckeyes, including one of the best former Buckeyes in recent history.

Jared Sullinger had a team-high 16 points for Carmen's Crew on 6-13 shooting. He also added seven rebounds and three assists to go along with that. He's the best player on this roster and will keep being the focal point of this team into the finals as well.

Kaleb Wesson added nine points to help the cause while his brother Andre Wesson added five points. Andre was the hero for the team in making the semifinals when he put in 16 points for Carmen's Crew. His shooting will be key for this team in the final game as well.

Carmen's Crew will take on the Houston alumni team Forever Coogs. They were the 2-seed on the other side of the bracket. It should be a very even match. The winner of the game will will $1 million while the loser will get nothing. It's a brutal winner-take-all.

The only other time that Carmen's Crew made the finals was back in 2019 when they won it all. They are hoping to recreate the magic from that year and win another championship, even though none of the players from that roster are on this year's version of the team.

The finals will be televised on FOX at 2 pm on Sunday.
