The Ohio State basketball program had a lot of great players when Thad Matta was the leader. He led the program to a couple of Final Four appearances and a National Championship Game. Most of those players went on to have NBA careers of varying lengths.

One of those players is Jared Sullinger. Sullinger went to Ohio State after his brother J.J. Sullinger had decided to do so a few years earlier. Jared was by far the more talented player and racked up all kinds of awards while he played with the Buckeyes in his two years in Columbus.

Sullinger was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2011 and also was the Most Outstanding Player in the Big Ten Tournament. He was on the Big Ten All-Freshman team and was a two-time Consensus First-Team All-American in both of his collegiate seasons. Now, he's playing with former Buckeyes once more.

Former Ohio State basketball player Jared Sullinger will play for Carmen's Crew

Sullinger is still playing basketball overseas. He played five seasons in the NBA and has played in leagues overseas ever since. He played in The Basketball Tournament once before and had been the coach of the team for each of the last few years that it was operational.

Now, Sullinger has committed to playing for the team. This might be because he's no longer playing in China and his contract doesn't prohibit him from doing so. Sullinger won't be playing with any of his former teammates this time as he is one of the older members of the team.

The other former Ohio State basketball players that he will be playing with are Kyle Young, Andrew Wesson, Kaleb Wesson, and Keyshawn Woods. Guys like William Buford, Jon Diebler, and Aaron Craft have opted not to play in this year's version of Carmen's Crew.
