Former Ohio State basketball players are back playing for Carmen's Crew

Former Ohio State basketball players used to play for Carmen's Crew in The Basketball Tournament. For years, they were one of the most competitive teams that participated in the tournament. In fact, Carmen's Crew won the grand prize in 2019 when it was set at $2 million.

The following year, they failed to defend their title. In 2022, they actually opted not to play. They returned last year and lost in the Regional Semifinals. Now, they are back this year to try and win it all again, this time with a new roster of players who are looking to win some money.

So far, we know who three of the players will be. Kaleb Wesson will be returning to Carmen's crew. He has been on the team for two years now because he played last year as well. Wesson was a really good Ohio State basketball player and decided to leave after three years with the Buckeyes.

His brother Andre Wesson has also decided to play on the team this year. He played in 2023 as well. While Andre wasn't as accomplished as his brother in his Buckeye days, he was instrumental in defending Issac Haas when Ohio State upset Purdue in 2018.

The only other player who has been announced on the roster at this point is Kyle Young. Young was also on the 2023 Carmen's Crew team. Young was a good defender but was never great on offense. Even so, he was a winner and did everything needed to win games.

The rest of the roster for Carmen's Crew will be announced soon. So far, those three players are fairly strong. They are also all Chris Holtmann-era players. Will some older players return to play with these newer former Ohio State basketball players? I tend to think that they will.
