We know the Ohio State football team has the best defense in the Big Ten, but where does their offense rank?

The Ohio State football team is the second-ranked team in the country. A lot of that is because of how ridiculously good the defense is. It's clearly the best defense in the country. Throwing the ball against the Buckeyes is going to be a nightmare for their opponents.

Offensively, questions remain. We still don't know who is going to start at right guard. The starter at tight end is still up in the air. The performance of the offensive line in general is still a concern. Ohio State will also have a new starting quarterback. That's a lot of question marks to figure out.

With that being said, where do the Ohio State Buckeyes rank in terms of offense in the Big Ten? Does their number-two ranking automatically make them the best offensive team too? Or are there other teams that can move the ball better than they can on a more consistent basis?

Where does the Ohio State football team rank offensively in the Big Ten?

Looking at the rest of the conference, Oregon is the best offense. Even though they too will have a new starting quarterback, the roster around Dillon Gabriel is sick. There's a chance that this is the first time in several years that the Ohio State football team doesn't have the best receiver in the Big Ten.

Tez Johnson is giving Emeka Egbuka a run for his money for the title of the Big Ten's best receiver. He had almost 1,200 yards last season to go along with 10 touchdowns. He's a good player that will keep the Ducks in every game that they play this season.

Other than Oregon, there isn't another offense that I trust more than the Buckeyes. Penn State is probably the next closest in terms of talent, but they don't really compare. Ohio State still has more weapons that they can give the ball to than the Nittany Lions do.

Both Ohio State and Oregon should make the college football playoff. They also face each other on October 12th. That matchup is going to be a bloodbath.
