The Ohio State women's basketball team is the outright Big Ten champion. They accomplished this feat by taking down TTUN on Wednesday night 67-51 and avenging the only loss they had in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes have now won 15 straight games since falling to TTUN on December 30th.

There is still one more game to be played in the regular season. The Buckeyes travel to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes. That game has a lot less juice now than it once did, but there's still some fire for both teams in that game. Iowa is fighting for a number-one seed in the NCAA Tournament so Ohio State can knock them out of contention with a win.

Now that they have a Big Ten championship, the Ohio State women's basketball team has something more in mind. They want to win the Big Ten Tournament as well so they can lock up both Big Ten titles. That's not the ultimate goal they have their sights set on though.

These women know that they are good enough to win a national championship. While South Carolina has really only been challenged once this year, I think the Buckeyes are good enough to beat them. They think so too. This team is better than last year's Elite Eight team.

This team goes as far as Jacy Sheldon and Cotie McMahon can take them. Those two are the offensive engines of this team. If they are on, there's not a team in the country that can stop them. Their press makes them a hard team to scout for too in an NCAA Tournament scenario.

A national championship is not a pipe dream for these Ohio State Buckeyes. Everything between now and the middle of March is going to be used as preparation for a deep run in the NCAA Tournament and raising that banner.
